Home Care

Dedicated to making your pet feel at home

Avoid the distress caused by placing your dog or cat into kennels and opt for my dedicated Home Care service. Your pet will be lovingly looked after in the comfort of their own familiar surroundings and you can look forward to returning home to happy and contented furry faces!

For every Home Care client I arrange a free consultation meeting to introduce myself to you and your pet(s) and will create with you a detailed Care Plan for your period of absence. This will include any household or security related duties you need me to carry out in addition to pet care.

I have a lot of empathy for anyone leaving their animals and home in the care of someone else; I've been in your position myself numerous times. So, be assured that the plan we agree on will be followed dilligently to the letter, with your pet's comfort, happiness and safety at the forefront.

Having 20 years experience of owning (and worshipping) cats from kittens through to adulthood, I know exactly how to handle them (and how not to!) and to read and anticipate their behaviours and needs.

I am also perfectly at ease and experienced in caring for dogs, puppies and other small pets such as rodents, birds and lizards should you need me to do so.

I've run my own home on my own since my twenties, therefore I have the utmost respect and understanding of being in someone else's home, e.g. door, window and gate locking, tidiness and cleanliness and care of other people's belongings, so rest assured there will be very little sign (apart from happy pets!) that I have been there when you return.

If you are in need of someone trustworthy* and 100% reliable while you are away who will be there no matter what to put your pet's happiness and comfort first, do take a look below at how I can help you and contact me to arrange an introductory meeting.

*For your added peace of mind I hold a current clear DBS check, the certificate of which can be seen on request.

I am also First Aid trained and fully insured.

Daily Visits

A friendly hello to brighten your pet's day!

Daily Visits are the perfect solution for home-alone pets to ensure their physical and emotional needs are met in your absence, with the added bonus of some quality chin rubs or play time!

I will feed them, let them in and out of the house, clear out cat litter, clean up after any 'accidents' that may have occurred and the best part, which is connecting with your pet by talking to them, stroking them and some play time if this is something they enjoy. One of my favourite parts of Home Care visits is the happy greeting I get when I open the door, it brightens my day too!

As complementary extras depending on your needs, I can also carry out additional household and security related duties whilst I am at your home, such as watering your plants (indoor and outdoor), collecting post, putting rubbish bins out on collections day, setting house alarms, opening and closing curtains and switching lights on and off to give the appearance that someone is home.

For dogs, I can also incorporate a short walk within the duration of the visit, for no extra cost.

One x Daily Visit (30 - 45 mins) - £9.00

Two x Daily Visits (30 - 45 mins each) - £16.00

*Times of visits will be agreed in your Care Plan

Sleep-Over

Keeping your pet company in the wee hours

If you can't take them with you but simply can't stand the idea of leaving your pet at home overnight either, why not book a friendly overnight sitter to keep a caring eye on them and  provide lots of affectionate company and distraction?

Your pet may suffer badly with separation anxiety, be destructive when left alone or have a chronic health condition / convalescing. Or they may simply be getting on in years and be more in need than ever of the comfort of human companionship. Whatever the circumstances, arranging a Sleep-Over for them in your absence gives them the company and supervision they need and you will sleep better too knowing they are being well looked after.

I am very used to having pets on (or in!) the bed with me so if your pet needs cuddles and reassurance during the night they are more than welcome to snuggle up! Just having warmth and another heartbeat next to them can make a huge difference to how they feel.

The added bonus is that your property will have a house sitter there all evening and through the night, giving you additional peace of mind from a security point of view.

Sleep-Over (start and end times flexible) - £25.00 - £30.00 (depending on duration time)
