Dog Walks & Socialisation

Not just a Walk in the Park....

Life should be an adventure.....that's what they say for us humans, but why not for our dogs too?

After all, that's what they thrive on above all else: they are NEVER as excited as when they know you're about to take them out on a walk! Walks are their chance to see, hear and smell new things, perhaps meet new canine friends or bump into old ones. I watch dogs out on my walks and marvel at how they are so lost in the moment, just sniffing a tree branch or trotting along the water's edge on the beach. You can see in their faces they are so full of enjoyment and stimulated and I am constantly reminded why I do this job: quite simply, to make them happy.

To that end, I provide dog walking sessions with your dog's experience and welfare at the forefront.

Your dog will be walked as part of a group of up to four dogs; I of course ensure as standard practice that all the dogs get along together first before they take part.

Again as standard on every walk, I will be talking and interacting with your dog frequently - this is what I naturally do in the company of dogs, as the enjoyment is mutual! It reassures them and provides another level of social stimulation that simply walking along holding the other end of their lead does not do. It also reinforces my position as Pack Leader, essential for mutual respect and preventing organised chaos!

I actively encourage dogs to explore their surroundings too to make sure they get the most they can out of their walk time.

If you would like to book onto a walk session, I will first arrange an initial consultation with you and your dog to discuss exactly what you would like your dog to get out of their walking experience, their personality, current/past state of health and level of socialisation and determine if group walking is suitable for them.

If you are unsure if organised walks are right for your dog or are a little apprehensive about how your dog will react being walked by someone else or with other dogs, I am more than happy to provide a free 15-minute trial walk (either alone or with another trusted canine friend!) during which I can assess your dog's suitability and which may also help give you the reassurance you need. You are more than welcome to accompany me on this walk if you wish.
