About Me

Life should be an adventure...that's what they say for us humans, but why not for our pets too?

My name is Kerry, I am based in Higher Penwortham, Preston and anyone who knows me would tell you how much of an animal lover I am and have been all my life since being a little girl.

I'm the person they know who won't watch an animal film if I know the animal dies at the end, the one who will move a bee from the pavement to save it from being stepped on and the one who they always come to to ask any random animal related questions! I've grown up with pets around me of one type or another since I was born so am fully accustomed to tending to their needs both practically and emotionally. This has also contributed to me having a keen and long-lived interest in canine and feline behaviour.

I feel very strongly about the importance of good and consistent animal welfare, the impact of poor welfare and that animals are happiest when doing the simple things in life, the things they love: like eating, playing and the freedom to perform their natural behaviour. Our pets give so much to us unconditionally and innocently, they deserve at the very least to have those simple things readily available to them.

To me, here is nothing that beats watching a dog enjoying themselves out on a walk, exploring and sniffing, perhaps running along a sunny beach, ears in the wind, without a care in the world. Then there's the contented purring and furry cuddles I receive from the cats who love nothing better than curling up on my lap and having their chin rubbed while they drift off to sleep, safely in their own home. The joy I know it brings to them (and to their owners!) is amazing and a privilege to witness.

The reasons above are ultimately what motivated me to turn what I love into my business, Hearts Content Premier Pet Services. In providing my dedicated and genuinely caring services I feel I am contributing to improving the welfare of my local pets by making a positive difference to their lives and in turn, giving their owners total peace of mind.

I provide a personable, high quality and above all caring and reliable service, with your pet's experience at the heart of everything. My services include group and solo dog walking adventures, senior dog walks, dog grooming, pet sitting and overnight stays and a pet taxi service with vet chaperone option.

My aim is to provide a complete 'one-stop-shop' for my Clients, so that once they know they can trust me with their pets they need not hunt around for providers of other services and the pet can remain with someone they know and are comfortable with.

Safety and integrity are hugely important to me and having pets of my own I know just how important your pet is to you. So, as I am qualified in Canine First Aid including CPR (accredited) and fully insured you can rest easy knowing your pet will be well taken care of whilst in my company. I also hold a diploma in Dog Grooming and a current clear DBS check (certificates can be seen if required and will be uploaded to the website in the very near future!)

As standard, I always meet with new clients and their pet(s) first on an introductory basis to establish how I help you and to give you further information on the services I offer.

If you are unsure of whether to commit to organised dog walking or your dog has never been walked by anyone other than yourself before and you are worried how he/she will react, I can provide a free of charge 15-minute trial walk (alone or with another dog) to see how they get on. I am more than happy to do this if this will help allay any fears you may have.

Please note that the areas I cover for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting are:

Penwortham, Hutton, Longton, Walmer Bridge, Much Hoole, Lostock Hall, Bamber Bridge, Ashton on Ribble and Broadgate.

I am able to welcome clients from further afield for my Groom Cabin and Pet Taxi services.

Please take at look at my service pages for more information and prices or do feel free to get in touch with any queries.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kerry X
